Rate Assessor 2.2 with Optimiser 2.0 

Rate Assessor is a rate-setting decision support tool to explore how pricing strategies can impact market share, retention, new business and current/future year profits. It enables you to model alternative scenarios in a graphical environment including powerful slicing and dicing of data for comparison of portfolio segments.  Data can be imported from a wide variety of systems and models, including EMBLEM.

 Latest enhancements:

• Performance enhancements to support larger projects and larger scales cubing reports
• Easier management of cubing reports allowing archiving, and concurrent viewing of multiple archived reports alongside a current project report

Optimiser 2.0
EMB Optimiser is an optional feature to Rate Assessor to provide highly sophisticated price optimisation at the policy, as well as ratebook, level. Fast and flexible, Optimiser finds optimal prices by systematically combining cost models, demand models and market prices. It multiplies the effectiveness of the entire price management control loop by recommending policy level price revisions across an entire portfolio.

Classifier 1.3

Classifier is a powerful toolkit to provide detailed categorisation and assessment of risk by geography – a notoriously difficult challenge in the past. Used in combination with EMBLEM it can deliver a holistic predictive model reflecting both geographic and non-geographic factors. It can accurately estimate geographical risk relativities at micro-zone levels, such as UK postcodes. Classifier is also able to combine internally and externally sourced data in a way that overcomes external data deficiencies. This enables profitable business to be written in areas where the insurer has little existing exposure.

• Mapping enhancements allowing more information to be shown on the maps, such as city names
• Spatial smoothing now smoothes across areas with no exposure
• Ability to select time periods for aggregations
